Baby Girl Spahl FARMINGTON Infant lily Grayson Spahl passed away at birth on Monday, May 18, 2009, at the Mineral Area Regional Medical Center. She is survived by her parents Aaron and Kristen Spahl, stationed at Anchorage, AK; grandparents, Eugene and Linda Hites of Leadington, and Leonard and Mary Kay Spahl of ByTam. NJ. Many other relatives and friends also survive.

Private graveside services will be held on Monday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in Park Hills with Father French officiating. Memorials may be given to the March of Dimes. Additional information and full obituary to be available at www.cozeanfuneralhome.com Carrie Brown Penuel FARMINGTON Carrie Brown Penuel went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 23, 2009, at the age of 82 years, 10 months, and 18 days. She was born on July 5, 1926, at Statesville, TN, daughter of the late Toy Jennings and Ruby (Word) Jennings. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Gary Dale Penuel, two brothers, James Jennings and Douglas Jennings, and brother-in-law, Joe Bogle.

Carrie was a home maker. She was a member of Delassus Baptist Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed bowling, gardening and listening to gospel music. She is survived by her husband of 65years, Lester Dillon Penuel, three sons, Johnny D. Penuel and wife Carolyn of Farmington, Roger D.

Penuel and wife Beverly and D. Eugene Penuel and wife Brenda, all of House Springs, MO, two sisters, LudQe Bogle and Joyce (Mrs. Joe) CaldwelL all of Lebanon, TN and a brother, Edwin Jennings of Gaflitin, TN. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and 13 great -grandchildren. Friends may call Tuesday, May 26, 2009 from 5 to 9 p.m.

Peterson, 74 of Bismarck passed away May 23, 2009, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Crystal City. He was born March 12, 1935 to the late Fred E. and Hazel 'Benham' Peterson. Mr. Peterson is survived by his wife, Wilma L.

Peterson of Bismarck; one sister, Selma Usina of Lemay; two sons, Jeff Peterson and fiancee Lorie Hall of Desloge, and Erik Peterson of Bismarck; four daughters, Detra, Mrs. Dennis, Gamache of Iron ML, Wanda Smith and fiancee Dan Singleton of Fulton, Lonna Hannah of Leadington, and Laura, Mrs. Randy King of Bismarck. Also surviving are, a nephew, Fhnt Usina of Fenton; 10 Grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; and mother-in-law, Alia Buxton of Cadet. Mr.

Peterson was a founder and presiding president of the Elvins Food Pantry in Park Hills. He served as city alderman in Bismarck one term and was a board member of the Bismarck Chamber of Commerce. Jim was also a charter member of the Desloge Eagles Lodge. Visitation for James Peterson will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, with funeral services following on Wednesday at 2 p.m.

Sam Maloof RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. (AP) Sam Maloof, whose simple, practical handmade wooden furniture sits in the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the White House, has died. He was 93.

Maloof died Thursday at his Southern California home, his business manager Boz Bock told the Los Angeles Times. No further details were given. Maloof was praised for putting usefulness before artistry in the chairs, cradles, hutches and other pieces he designed and crafted by hand.
