Owens, 86, of Desloge, Mo. passed away Feb. 27, 2002 at his residence. He was born Aug. 6, 1915 in Kansas and was a retired mine captain with 39 years of service at St.

Joe Lead Company. Preceding him in death were his parents, Sherman Thurman and Rozan (Elston) Owens his wife, Fern Hilda (Jaeckel) Owens; brothers and sisters, Harold Owens, Bob Owens, Thelma. Shetley, Rosie. Murray, Anna Lou Owens and Betty Dean Owens. Survivors are son, Dennis: Owens (Gail) of Sunrise Beach, daughter, Janice (Mrs.

Parents or legal guardians must provide immunization records showing their child has receives two doses of MMR, OBITUARIES Rolla Elliott Gordon FARMINGTON Rolla Elliott Gordon of: Farmington passed away on Feb. .28, 2002, at the Missouri Baptist Hospital in St.

Louis at the age of 76 years. He was born on Nov. 3, 1925, at Farmington, the son of the late Elliott and Emma (Bowling) Gordon. He was also preceded in death by a brother, A.J. Gordon.

Before his retirement, Mr. Gordon was the president and chief executive officer of the Mercantile Bank of Farmington. At the time of his death, he was also artrustee for Mineral Area College. He served on boards for the St. Francois County for the Developmentally Disabled, the American Cancer Society and the St.

Francois County Development Association. During World War II, he served with distinction in the U.S, Army Air Corps, 8th Air Force, in the European Theater. He was a member of VFW Post No. 5896, American Legion Post No. 416, St.

E. incois County Country Club, and Elks Lodge No. 1765. He was a member of the Memorial United Methodist Church, where he served on the Finance Committee. He is survived by his wife, Helen Gordon; by a daughter, Carolyn Gordon of Farmington, and by a sister, Jean and husband Cecil Hulsey, also of Farmington.

She was. born on. Dec. 17, 1906, at Farmington, the daughter of the late Daniel and Pauline er) Giessing. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Arthur F.

Soergel; by her sister and brother-in-law, Alberta and Erhardt: Eifert; by a brother, Vernon K. Giessing by a son-in-law, John Jencks. Mildred was a graduate of Farmington High School and Stephens College Columbia, MO: She received a degree: Social Work from Washington University. St. Louis and accepted her first job Okla homa City.

It was there that she met husband, Arthur F. Soergel and they married on May 16, 1930. Throughout entire life Mrs. Soergel was engaged many organizations and activities. She volunteer work for the Red Cross, church youth choirs and cared for children (all babies) until they could placed for adoption.

She: served Board of Directors of Lutheran Social vices. in Wichita, KS. and was member of the Lutheran Women's Mission ary League. After retiring her husband. home, with to Farmington in 1967 to the same which she.

was born, she volunteered: Farmington Community Hospital, on the welfare committee of the Family Services, and was a member Grandparent's Club. She was St. Paul Lutheran. Church in Farmington She had resided at Farmington Presbyter: ian Manor since 1994. She is survived by her son and daughter in-law, Robert and Betty Soergel Pittsburg PA; by a daughter, Marjorie Jencks ley, CA; by a daughter and son-in-law.
