The ladies are requested to be in full Centennial costume, and the men to have beards. Two busses and several cars will be the mode of travel to the TV station, it is hoped this will give valued publicity to the coming Centennial. A horseshoe pitching contest is scheduled for Centennial Week, July 11, from 1:00 to 5:00. So far, three trophies and cash will be the prizes. The 55-man Marine Drum and Bugle Corps march in the July 17 parade, will do pre cision marching and drilling as a special feature.

While in Bonne Terre over night, they will be quartered in the school auditorium. The VFW Auxiliary's bid to furnish and serve the food for the Marines has been accepted by the Board of Directors. Some bids came in too late for con sideration. The popcorn machine at the Bonne Terre Centennial Headquarters is being operated every Saturday for the benefit of the Centennial. Chi-Rho and the Girl Scouts alternate the tend ing and selling the popcorn on Saturdays.

Girl Scouts are operating the machine at the present. Mayor's Day has been set for Wednesday during Centennial Week. The best costume will be chosen the same day. A prize of $25.00 has been donated by Holsum Bakery for the best Centennial Costume. Deaths I (Continued From Page 1) ia; Fred Hanson of Belgrade; and a sister, Mette (Mrs.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at the Elvins Methodist Church at two o'clock by the Rev. James Norris. The body will be taken to the church at one o'clock to lie in state until service time.

Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery at Fredericktown with arrangements under the direction of Raymond Caldwell and Sons Funeral Home. Carrie Hopkins Rites To Be Thursday, 2:00 Carrie Hopkins of Farming-ton, Route Two, died Tuesday, May 26, at Mineral Area Osteopathic Hospital in Farmington. She was 83 years, 5 months and 7 days of age, the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth (Klob) Veihman. She was born in Crawford County, December 19, 1880. The body will be in state at the C.

Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Chapel in Desloge until 1:00 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 m. at the Methodist Church in Desloge.

Burial will be in the St. Francois Memorial Park with arrangements under the direction of the C. Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home. She was united in marriage to O.

C. Hopkins May 9, 1897. Her husband and a son, Harold, preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by two Infant daughters. The survivors are: children, Clyde Hopkins of Lemay; Cruise Hopkins of Flat River; Morris Hopkins of Farmington, Rt Two: Dema (Mrs.
